Enrollment information

The school was opened in 2006 in Manchester and is solely funded by a select group of companies in the watch industry (Founders). The school is one of 15 throughout the world and is the latest to be added. With two classrooms furnished with the latest state of the art equipment to assist with teaching watchmaking, the BSoW is the only school teaching pure watchmaking within the UK. It is a very special opportunity that is offered to every student.

The first year classroom is created for the teaching of Micro mechanics and the second year for the art of watchmaking. The school has a comprehensive library which covers every aspect of Horology to assist the students with their studies.

The student intake follows the academic year and consists of six students. At present there are two ways for a student to enter the school.1) Via one of the founders and if you wish to take you interest in the school further we suggest you contact them directly. All founders names and addresses are available from the founder section of our website. 2) When available, as a fee paying student. Please note that the school will not make any fee paying places available for the September 2010 intake. For more information please click here.

The school teaches the Watches of Switzerland Training and Educational Program (WOSTEP) course which is universally acknowledged to be the only true base for watchmaking and as such is accredited by all the major Swiss watch manufacturers.
